Sisters Jenn and May have finally found their golden ticket out of the slums. Pervy sugar daddy, Frederick Bells, promises to be an easy score with a big payoff—millions are hidden within his mansion.

The plan is simple: tie up the pig, steal his cash, and skip town.

But fate has a different plan, including a villain with a wicked imagination. The sisters resort to playing their childhood game SUPERGIRLS to battle their fears in Bell’s den of horrors.

Will the SUPERGIRLS find their prize or will their heads join the pile behind the black cellar door?

Supergirls Playlist

Here's a few songs from Behind the Black Door's playlist that I enjoyed writing to. Music helps me write tone and mood.

Super Hero by Johnny Hollow

fun facts!

1. After a long dry spell of writer's block, I wrote the first draft of Supergirls in two days.

2. I enjoyed using the theme of a big fat pig to describe the villian. Pigs have been known to be both the victim and the predator through out history. On the one hand, Frederick Bells is this larger than life predator, fat on the money, fat on violence with a rather disgusting pig like physical appearance... but then I can flip it to where he's the victim with little ol' May bending over him, half-naked with nothing but a kitchen knife saying, "And the wolf said, I’ll huff and I’ll puff and find your money, you shit-faced fucker…”

3. Why is the ending so heartwrenching? Without giving spoilers away, the end is never the end. Haven't you ever watched a superhero movie? ;-)

4. What the F*CK is up with May? Is she crazy, schizo, what?  I can tell you that she is a def a little wild card, and that as cute and pyscho as she appears, never underestimate her intelligence. She does not have a straight forward case of Schizophrenia, but she does have a mental health disorder of that variety. The face is that many, many people suffer from similiar illnesses that does not have an official cause, but as most illnesses, it tends to be genetic.
